Four-Day Weekend, Day #3

I was pretty hung over early in the morning, and tried to get as much sleep as possible, but the little devil wouldn't shut up because Candice was sleeping on Mike's bed, of which Apollo can't reach... and he simply had to see her for some reason. Finally I got up at 10:30, even with a headache. Got a call from my new Mr. Landlord, and had to go sign papers. Walked to Michelle's place with Apollo to try to get her files back on her computer from my external hard drive, but it wasn't working very well and it even supposedly had a damn virus. Walked to the new place, where I realized I had made a very very bad decision in walking Apollo there to sign the papers and do the whole security deposit thing. He obviously wouldn't stay quiet outside, so that was horrible as Mr. Landlord (John) stared at me and asked "He's not going to be like that all the time is he?" as I struggled to give him an answer why he's crying his freaking head off, blaming the cat and blah blah blah. Then they gave in and said it was okay to let him in, where he preceeded to chase the house cat and eat up the cat's toys. Jeezes christ it was horrible, I just wanted to get the hell out of there. Got the papers done, wrote the check, and tried to impress the landlord couple without putting on too big of a facade. Man, I have a feeling that with Apollo's behavior today, unless he adjusts very quick to the new place and shuts his mouth, it is going to be bad news for me and I might be kicked out this summer (being that it's a month-to-month lease).

Came home after that, was feeling like crap so I took a nap, woke up and went to work. Work was slow, but people still came in. Did the regular thing, and Paul gave me a ride home. Called Mom and spoke about everything... the car, moving, money (issues and her work), and of course stuff about Dad. Got a busy day tomorrow, mostly academic, plus lots of side business things to take care of. Let's make a list so at least I've thought about it all:

IN ORDER
- Complete 314 homework (copying)
- Call up Charter and cancel services, figure out when last days will be
- Send out Johnson rent (last one)
- Send out money that I have right now for Mom to deposit along with her tax stuff
- Go to craft center to do the Astro project, hopefully it works
- Read Heidegger selections
- Go to appointment for finger at the health center
- Study for Astro quiz/midterm
- Do Astro homework
- Go to Observatory

All this in 1 day, boy I better hope I cross out each and one of those things before I fall asleep tomorrow night.

Four-Day Weekend, Day #2

Let's see... woke up a bit later than usual, I think around 10:30 or so after trying to keep sleeping but Mike and Candice were already up and watching TV, not to mention the little devil running all over my face. Andrew took me to work, and I had brought along the sand for the Astro experiment but the craft center wasn't even open. Work was boring, and I ended up staying till around 5 even after Aris showed up around 3:30. It turns out that our bowling team fell through for the fall, as Aris has a lab on Monday nights that he can't really miss otherwise he can't graduate, and also the other guy in Paso is moving to Michigan or something like that. Long day at work, and Chris picked me up and brought me home. After barbequing some hot dogs and hot links, Chris, Andrew, and I went to Brian's party around 9:30 for Dan's birthday this next coming week. James dropped us off, and we took a cab home afterwards. The party was good, I had like a handful of mixed drinks, each time each of the hosts (Brian, Jeff, or Dan) picked the drink for me. I was pretty faded, but blew only a .10 on Brian's breath-a-lizer. Andrew won with a .12, and Chris was inbetween with a .11. Good fun, the crowd was good in the beginning but by the time we were leaving it was maybe 2 to 1 guys to girls ratio. Chris said the quality of the girls were "sub-par" but I thought it was pretty damn good, I guess he has higher standards.

Four-Day Weekend, Day #1

Woke up, went to work. Work was boring as always, but Dan came to visit and bowl at about 1. We bowled and shot some pool, then afterwards I went to check out his place at Morro Bay. There was some art show going on at the park across the street from his place, of which was a block away from the damn beach and awesome views of the oceans. He drove me back home, and the roommates and Dan and I all ping-ponged it up for a while. Then Andrew and I went grocery shopping at Vons where I bumped into Nick at the cash register. Party next Friday at his place.

Came home, played some SoF2, Mike had a friend visiting. We then went to the bowling alley, where some of them bowled, and Andrew and I played pool. Afterwards we came home, and just did nothing for the rest of the night.

It's almost over...

In approximately 9 hours it will be over. My hell of a week filled with studying/cramming for 314 and 335 will be over. What lies ahead is simply philosphy research project and reading. That will be saved for this weekend and the beginning of next week. Hopefully either tomorrow night or Saturday night I will finally get to relax and drink some. I will definetly have one once I get home from work tomorrow afternoon though, to celebrate the end of this hell week.

3..2..1..

Right now it is 3:21 AM. I have no idea why I'm still awake. Well... I do but that's not really the point. I have not been "asleep" since 6:30 AM yesterday morning. That means I have been "awake" for approximately 21 hours. Damn, I need to go now.

Crash is a good movie. Go see it.

Time - 3:01 AM

Why the fuck am I still awake??? Christ... it must've been that slurpee, god damn it. Shit, I am addicted to the internet... clickclickclickclickclick and 1/2 an hour is gone. Fuck, time for bed (or at least an attempt at it).

Long Overdue Make-up Post

Yeah well I keep procrastinating it and I'm finally gonna sit my ass down and write it. This will be a long one, so buckle up kiddies and prepare to read while I attempt to crack my knuckles and type away.

This past weekend was Mother's Day, and so I thought it would be a nice surprise to go home instead of sending flowers like I have done in the previous years. Jennie was going home too so I hitched a ride with her. She picked me up from work, got her things, we came home and got Apollo and my stuff and we left. Got back to VV around 10:30, and I told Jennie to turn her lights off so no one will suspect anything. I took Apollo up to the front door and opened the door, threw him in there, and shut it again immediately and knocked a few times. I heard "What the....?!!! What's this!!!" from Will and then "Go check the door!" from Mom. They were all surprised, and I could tell Mom was really happy. She had to work Saturday but then that night after Will got home from work too we went to New Station's for dinner, where Leo and I competed in a "best of 7" series with the rice bowls. On Sunday morning we went out and had coffee at Starbuck's and talked, then came home and Mom made dinner for us. I left VV around 3:30-4, and got back to SLO around 8:30-9. It was a good visit, and I can't really stand to have Apollo bug the shit out of Rocky and the rest of the family and be forced to sleep on that uncomfortable couch.

Financial Aid: DONE (for now... just gotta wait for the next step... whatever that may be.)
Housing: Probably taken care of for the summer, I need to inquire Mustang Village tomorrow to see about housing availability for next school year. I really really hope they have openings, seeing as how the pricing is really good and they also allow pets. Living by myself might be weird but whatever, I have Apollo.
School:
PHIL 316: behind by 100+ pages for Being and Nothingness, and being by 50+ pages in Being and Time
ASTRO 302: weird incident regarding the missing homework #2. I've pulled that "missing homework" act before in the past I believe, but ironically this time it really DID disappear and I don't know what in the world happened to that thing. It really is a mystery. Saenz is a nice guy and will allow me to make up the homework and give me the same points Brian got. Damn, that midterm/quiz will be bad I think, and I even studied for it! I don't get it, sometimes I feel that the harder I study the worse I do. No use crying over this, just got to pull it together, get my priorities straight, and get some self discipline going.
EE 314: Boy and I screwed. Time to learn everything between now and next Wednesday when that midterm will roll around. That is going to be a pain in the ass... oh yeah, the Matlab Project is due Friday! Well, I'm gonna have to be "that guy" again and just copy off of Mike/Huy/Gary for these extra 10 points. I hate this class.
EE 335: Haven't paid real attention in this class at all recently. Just "done" (done = copy verbatim) the homework. I need to start taking a good look at those old tests and review sheets now and seriously get down to business so I can improve on this test instead of only pulling an "average" like the last one. I will definetly need to go back and review all the MATH 241 vector calculus crap. God... he is giving us an equation sheet... that means we will be forced to do integrals and derivations. Well, don't despair yet, not until you check out the old exam to see what kind of material it is going to be.

Glen, you really need to start busting some ass and leave SoF2 alone until around next Friday. After that, you will be almost ready to attack finals and then summer will be upon us. Self Discipline man, self discipline.

Funny incident: Working Monday night as usual, when these 2 girls and another b/f g/f couple who were their friends come walking in. The two girls work me like crazy trying to get me to bowl for free. I smelled alcohol, and knew at least 1 (if not both) had been drinking. One admitted, but by the way the other one was acting I bet she had her share as well, even though I couldn't smell it on her. I found out the girls were both freshmen who lived on campus, and the one who admitted she was drinking couldn't keep her hands off of me... every time I walked by it was a hug or taking a picture. Man... if only I had the game to take advantage of that. If it was any consolation at all, I did get both of their phone numbers after I let them go free of charge. But what am I supposed to do with it? Can't really do too much anyways unless they come see me again when they are drunk, and even then I might only take them back to the dorms or something (haha, even then). Whatever, maybe Saturday night because I'm working for Aris.

Speaking of Aris, him and Greg and I talked today about league next fall at Pismo. It is this kind of league where there are 3 to a team, the season lasts 33 weeks from September all the way to May. Each week (Monday nights) it lasts for about 3 hours (wow all these damn 3's) and it costs $20 each person I believe. Top 3 or 4 teams get to finish in the money each night. It's almost kinda like poker, because they were talking about how there's usually a bunch of side bets and such. It definetly sounds fun, and Aris wants me to do it because on paper there is a cap of total average of 560 or something like that. I say "on paper" because according to Aris, a lot of people bowl better than what they say and so that's how they win money. I will have to learn to bowl with a fingertipped ball this summer, and make sure that I really DO average around 150 or something, otherwise I'll be the downfall of that entire team. I have the whole summer to learn, well... as soon as my middle finger heals anyways. Anyways the whole thing sounds fun.

This weekend I better get some work done and start studying/learning my ass off for 335 and 314. However Friday night we are going out for Katie's 21st birthday and hitting the bars I guess, that should be fun. It's been a few weeks since I last went out. Then Saturday night I'm working for Aris because we traded (he has no idea why, but I obviously know what's really happening)... and maybe I'll give the freshmen girls a call and play it by ear. Otherwise hopefully Carissa will give me a ride home afterwards. We shall see.....

(God of War coming, have to resist the temptation to play.)
